UK Music share their annual economic report, This Is Music 2025

UK Music’s annual economic report, This Is Music 2025, has been shared highlighting the sector’s growing impact on the UK economy.

In 2024, the industry contributed a record £8 billion in Gross Value Added (GVA), up 5% from £7.6 billion in 2023. Exports revenue also reached a new high of £4.8 billion, up 5% from £4.6 billion the previous year. Employment in the sector rose to 220,000 full-time equivalent roles, a 2% increase on 2023 figures.

However, the report does not include data from Music Venue Trust or the grassroots venues it represents, whose own annual report – out in January -will provide further insights into the sector.
