Sound Roots Connect Terms & Conditions of use and Privacy Policy

Sound Roots Connect is operated and managed by Sound Roots

  1. Payment Terms:

By purchasing an annual community membership you agree to an initial payment of £30 (inclusive of VAT at the prevailing rate) for one full year of service starting from the payment date. After one year, and annually thereafter, you will be billed a recurring annual community membership fee at the then-current annual community membership rate. We will notify you before the renewal fee is billed. You can cancel your community membership at any time before the next billing cycle, subject to the terms of cancellation.

Once an annual community membership payment has been made, no refunds will be given. You can cancel your community membership at any time before the next billing cycle by logging into your account and clicking on the ‘subscription’ tab located in ‘account’. If you do not wish for your annual community membership to renew automatically, please cancel your membership at least 2 business days prior to the auto-renewal date to ensure that the payment is not taken.

Sound Roots Connect is a space for all community members to learn and network in a safe environment and without discrimination. We ask all community members to adopt these values. Harassment or bullying of any sort will not be tolerated. Sound Roots will promptly and thoroughly investigate any reports of harassment or bullying and take appropriate action, which may include immediate suspension or termination of access to the platform.

The rights granted to you in these Terms will remain in force only so long as these Terms remain in effect.

You may not rent, transfer, assign, commercially exploit, resell or sublicence your community membership to any third party.

No part of the service (including downloadable assets) will be copied, reproduced, republished, distributed, displayed, posted or transmitted by you, in any form, by any means.

You will not collect, store or share data about other community members for any reason.

Sound Roots Connect is entitled to make operational changes to the system for improvements or otherwise. In some exceptional circumstances, it may be necessary to suspend member access to Sound Roots Connect for a short period. Sound Roots Connect will endeavour to give 48 hours’ notice to community members prior to any suspension.

Sound Roots Connect may amend these Terms as required from time to time and will give community members no less than 20 days’ written notice of such amendments and all such amendments will apply to the next renewal of the subscription.

Sound Root Connect will not be liable for any default or delay of the platform should such default or delay be caused, directly or indirectly, by a force majeure. ‘Force Majeure Event’ means an event, or a series of related events, that is outside the reasonable control of Sound Roots Connect (including failures of the internet or any public telecommunications network, failures of Sound Roots Connect’s hosting provider, hacker attacks, denial of service attacks, virus or other malicious software attacks or infections, power failures, industrial disputes affecting any third party, changes to the law, disasters, explosions, fires, floods, riots, terrorist attacks and wars).
