Youth Music pledges to save grassroots youth music projects with ‘Rescue The Roots’ campaign

Youth Music has identified a crisis within the landscape of grassroots youth music projects. Dwindling funding and the rising cost of living for the creative arts could result in young people losing access to grassroots projects within in decade. 41% of these vital initiatives are facing the risk of closure.

To combat this disastrous outcome, Youth Music are launching ‘Rescue The Roots’, a campaign to raise £1 million to protect the grassroots youth music sector. Youth Music pledge to match each pound raised, until £2 million is quickly distributed to UK-based organisations and young creatives. This money will support up to 18,000 young people in 2025.
