The O2 forges landmark commitment to Music Venue Trust to fuel future talent

The O2 Arena has partnered with Music Venue Trust, agreeing to directly donate each time the venue hosts a new headliner.

This ensures that the grassroots ecosystem, which nurtures artists in the early stages of their careers, receives tangible, ongoing support from the very venues that later host their success.

In 2025 alone, the O2 has presented over 50 first-time headline acts and, to celebrate this record milestone, the Arena has pledged a one-off six-figure donation to MVT. This single donation underscores the volume of talent flowing from small stages to the arena and highlights the critical need for a sustainable pipeline.

The landmark initiative formally recognises the importance of a sustainable pipeline for young performers, noting artists like Pulp, Architects and Wolf Alice, who cut their teeth in grassroots venues before headlining the O2 for the first time within the last year.
